So every day I try to learn a new thing and write it down, and then at the end of the month share what I learned.

    Lincoln was also the first actual person depicted on standard issue U.S. coins. (There had been commemoratives as early as 1892 with historical people on them.) He’d been preceded by the Goddess Liberty wearing a feathered bonnet, which was popularly known as the “Indian Head” cent.
