Where strange fact and stranger fiction collide

Once I was in love with someone, who had been hurt so badly she couldn’t feel any more. It wasn’t her fault, and it defiantly wasn’t mine. In the end her pain drover her to do something terrible to hurt me. I wrote this for her so that she might feel something like she did when she was young. It fell on a numb heart, I hope it helps you more than it did her.

If could give you one bit of advice

A one word panacea for all that ills you

It would be…

Feel the love, feel the sorrow, feel the frustration, feel the hunger, feel the fear,

But always feel the joy.

Discuss the trivial with passion.

To feel is not a sin.

The soul has not evolved to become numb.

Do not let the sorrow of the winter dissolve the joys of summer.

It is easy to run from all the trials and agonies of life, but when you do you also hid from the life’s pleasures and rewards.

The only cure for pain is time.

Heal don’t medicate.

It is easy to become complacent, to become unfeeling.

To embrace your emotions requires courage.

And if in your travels you may find someone who gave up hope, and surrendered their feelings to the bullying and trials.

Feel for them.

Cry for them, laugh for them, sigh for them, smile for them, rage for them. Until they can feel for themselves.

And as for that villain who hurt you. He who made it easier for you to turn off than to live.

Hate them. Love them. Pity them. Feel for them. Do not let them win.

Until time has allowed you to forgive them and still be you.

And for those who raise children.

Teach them to laugh. Teach them it is alright to cry. Teach them feelings are not a weakness. Teach them to control their anger not hide it. Teach them to raise their first and curse heaven. Teach them to cry on their pillow in prayer for all that they have been blessed with.

Remember why you feel in love with him.

Grieving is a healing processes not a lack of faith.

Remember to feel.

Remember to feel again.

And again.

And again.

This is beautiful and helpful. Maybe you should write more poetry. Maybe I’ll re-blog it at some point if that’s okay. Thanks for following “Anything is Possible.” On the subject of feeling, when emotions are overwhelming, it is possible to take small steps with breaks in between. Meditation techniques, like mindfulness, and occasional use of positive distraction, have helped me work my way through intense emotions. You are on target with healing rather than medicating, because the hurt doesn’t go away unless we walk through it, one step at a time. Healing our big wounds is necessary for a healthy relationship. When the time is right, the right person will be there to walk with us.

Thank you for your comets. Feel free to repost if you would like, I would feel it is an honor.

It is kind of a balancing act. I agree that sometimes we need to start out small and work our way up.
