Where strange fact and stranger fiction collide
I love teams. The Avengers are much better than any one Marvel hero by themselves. As a roleplaying dork one of the things I like was creating an in-depth multi-layer character and see how he would interact with the others. My new project explores my love of teams.
In The Dream Teams I will take five characters mostly from pop-culture, science fiction, fantasy but occasionally even real life and put them in a team. Each team will be designed to confront a specific scenario of my creation. The rules will be that each team must have exactly five members, and a designated leader. They can be from different genres and source material. (Han Solo piloting a spaceship navigated by Mr. Solo anyone?) In fact only one member from any single specific source material. (Sorry Mulder and Scully only room for one of you on this op.)This won’t necessarily be about bring in the five most powerful characters together. It will be about the team. How they work together would come together to confront a specific menace. Now since drama is about all about conflict, they won’t have to merge perfectly, but at least be able to overcome any internal conflicts that would derail the mission.
I know I suffer from creative AADD, but I am not abandoning my other projects like Searching for Lady Portland or Interviewing the Fictitious, just something new too. With any luck I will have the first one out in twenty four hours. Feel free to make suggestions or come up with your own teams. Input is always welcomed.
